North Country Health Services and Ecumen announce the opening of the newest senior housing option for older adults in Bemidji, MN. The premier senior housing community owned by NCHS began moving residents into the new 80-unit catered living apartments on November 19, 2009.

WindSong is an expansion of the existing North Country Health Campus, WoodsEdge Senior Living. WoodsEdge also includes Neilsen Place, a 78-bed skilled nursing facility, and Trillium, the 27-unit memory care apartments that opening in September 2009.

WindSong will offer a great lifestyle and community that includes spacious maintenance-free residences, team members who provide helpful, personalized services, a safe environment that has on-site health care and assistance as needed, enriching activities and friendships. The community will include amenities such as a grand fireplace lounge, library and media center, restaurant style dining, two guest motel-like suites for visiting family members, hair salon and barber shop, community room, club lounge, fitness facility, outdoor patios and walking paths, and so much more.

NCHS and WoodsEdge are committed to a green design, construction and overall operating principals and will likely become the first LEED Certified senior housing community in Minnesota.
