Top 5 States with the Most Assisted Living and 5 with the Least

Two Harvard professors - David Stevenson and David Grabowski - have created a new paper entitled "Sizing Up the Market for Assisted Living."  According to their research, here are top five states with the most penetration of assisted living and the five with the least:

Top 5 States

1.  Minnesota (This isn't a surprise to us.  Ecumen's home state has been a leader in creating pro-consumer/non-institutional housing with services environments for seniors.)

2.  Virginia

3.  Oregon

4. Nebraska

5. Rhode Island

Bottom 5 States

1.  Hawaii

2. Connecticut

3.  West Virginia

4.  Louisiana

5.  Illinois
