TEAM Decision - Marketing Senior Housing to the Entire Family
I
n the April 2010 issue of Multi-Housing News, the article titled "A Family Affair", discusses how the decision to move into a senior housing community involves the adult children 90% of the time. Additionally, the perception of whether or not the senior housing community is a "good place to live” is decided in the first 35 to 40 seconds of the initial visit. While these seem like a few simple statistics, this information is critical to the overall marketing success of a property.
As developers, architects, and general contractors, our goal should be to develop a product that meets the needs of the senior clientele while at the same time creates a feeling and comfort level for the adult children and their families that wins their approval.
