Why You Want an Expert Building Senior Housing
A lot of municipalities have exited long-term care, desiring to turn operation to long-term care experts and use government resources in other ways. This is one of those stories that illustrates why it's important to bring outside long-term care construction experts in from the beginning.
KSTP-TV reporter Bob McNaney reports about a new state-funded nursing home in St. Peter, Minnesota, developed to house prisonors in need of intensive care. The $10 million care center has sat vacant for a year because it has a number of construction problems. It seems that this is one of those "bad news" situations that could have been avoided on the front end with better construction expertise in long-term care.
